FarsiRadio.com (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Listening activity (anonymous): we do not require an account to listen. Your device may locally remember your last-played station and volume.
- Account data (optional): if you sign up, we store the email address and hashed password handled by Supabase Auth.
- Listener Wall posts: any display name, optional city, and message you choose to post are stored and shown publicly.
- Technical data: IP address, user-agent, and request timestamps used for spam prevention, abuse investigation, and aggregate analytics.
- Cookies / local storage: small items used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure aggregate traffic.
2. How we use information
- To operate the radio player and remember your preferences.
- To display the Listener Wall and prevent spam/abuse.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the site.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not run third-party advertising trackers that profile you across the web.
3. Third-party services
- Cloudflare — application hosting.
- Supabase — database, authentication, edge functions.
- Google Analytics / Search Console — aggregate traffic and SEO measurement.
- Independent broadcasters — live audio is streamed directly from each station. Their own privacy practices apply to that connection.
4. Retention
- Anonymous Listener Wall posts: auto-deleted after 24 hours.
- Authenticated posts: kept until you delete them or your account.
- Security/audit logs: up to 30 days.
5. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing contact@farsiradio.com. Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA) you may also have rights to object to processing or request a copy of your data in a portable format.
6. Children
FarsiRadio.com is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
